Miguel Macias

Miguel Macias is a radio producer, sound designer, musician and video producer based in Brooklyn, New York. Currently Miguel is an Assistant Professor and Director of Radio at the Department of Television and Radio at Brooklyn College.

Prior to joining the faculty at Brooklyn College in 2009, Miguel had worked as the Los Angeles Bureau Chief for Youth Radio; as the overnight associate producer for American Public Media's The Marketplace Morning Report; and as an associate producer for WNYC's Radio Rookies. Miguel is also proud to have worked as a volunteer for the NGO Madre. As such, he has trained indigenous radio reporters in Peru and instructed video editing to teenagers in Colombia. Miguel credits include NPR's All Things Considered and Morning Edition; PRI's The World and This American Life; and ABC Radio National.
